Today, the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy hosted an online presentation of Olga Vidova's book "The Phenomenon of Nazarbayev". The event was organized as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as on the eve of the day of the institution of the presidency in Kazakhstan - on April 24, 1990, N.A.Nazarbayev was elected President of the Kazakh USSR.
Opening the presentation, Director of the Library of Elbasy Bakhytzhan Temirbolat noted that today the concepts of "political leadership of Nazarbayev" and "phenomenon of Nazarbayev" are the object of a close study of the world's leading politicians and researchers.
"The book "The Phenomenon of Nazarbayev" is the result of many years of hard work. Deeper perception of the content of the book is facilitated by the presence of the author's assessment, demonstration of her attitude to the character and personality of the hero and events in general. The book is particularly valuable for professional analysis of political events related to the transit of power in Kazakhstan. The author introduces new, rather bold concepts, such as "successor","duumvirate". Undoubtedly, the work of Olga Vidova is a sign of deep respect for the First President of Kazakhstan", B. Temirbolat said.
The author of the book Olga Vidova is doing a lot of work to promote the cultural heritage of Russia abroad. Olga Ivanovna wrote books on contemporary political and spiritual life in the post-Soviet space. The project "Leaders of the Nation" resulted in books about the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev, which were translated into Chinese, English and Kazakh.
In the collections of the Personal Library of Elbasy there are books previously published in the republic and abroad by this author. The current edition of "The Phenomenon of Nazarbayev" was published in 2020 in the publishing house "Eksmo" in the series "Great politicians of the era".
The event was attended by prominent public and political figures of Kazakhstan and Russia. The statesman of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kuanysh Sultanov noted the value of the publication for researchers of the history of modern Kazakhstan: "The book is not about one person. This is a large-scale research work that reflects the development of the entire society, the growth of our state and nation over the years of Independence through the prism of the multifaceted and long-term activities of the First President of Kazakhstan. Through such works, the whole state is presented. In this sense, it is a very valuable addition both in the world of literature and in the world of scientific research".
Alexander Degtyarev, Adviser to the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, addressed the participants with a video message, noting that the First President of Kazakhstan, N. A. Nazarbayev, is one of the few leaders of the post-Soviet space, who can be considered both as a global personality and as a unique phenomenon: "Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev always looked further. His ideas gradually developed in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Belarus. The role of Nursultan Abishevich in the global process is indisputable, and for Kazakhstan, he has done so much for thirty years, and the main thing that he has achieved is the successful life and development of the country and the fundamental guarantee of the future created by him", A. Degtyarev said.
Oleg Karpukhin, Adviser to the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in 2001-2011 focused on one of the main achievements and factors of the phenomenality of the Elbasy - interethnic peace and harmony in Kazakhstan: "The phenomenon of Nazarbayev is that he is very well brought up, and he was brought up in the labor collective, in the hot Temirtau workshop. And this working hardening, undoubtedly, then influenced all subsequent stages of his life. Few of the current presidents of the former Soviet republics can boast of such an excellent working biography. And this is the source of N. A. Nazarbayev's political significance, and this is the explanation of his amazing phenomenon".
In his speech, Deputy Executive Director of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation Alkey Margulanuly said: The phenomenon of Elbasy will be studied for a long time, because many of his visions are waiting for their implementation until 2030. Therefore, we will address this topic many more times, and we will discuss it not only with the witnesses of historical decisions, but also with the generation called Z and Y. We will have to properly convey to them the values of Independence and the political legacy of the First President of Kazakhstan".
The author of the book, a member of the Union of Writers of Russia, Doctor of Philology Olga Vidova, stressed that over the years of studying the life and political path of the First President of Kazakhstan, a huge amount of material has been accumulated. The 14 chapters of the new edition reflect the main stages of the life and political activity of N. A. Nazarbayev.
"In 2020, I started actively writing the book "The Phenomenon of Nazarbayev", because I saw one of the main achievements of modern Kazakhstan and personally its First President. For three decades, Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev not only raised the country but also developed its economy, built the capital – he achieved the most important thing as the head of the country - he formed a state-forming nation. His outstanding achievement - the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan - has become a guarantor of peace and harmony for all Kazakhstanis, and today many politicians of the world study and adopt it as a valuable experience. The transit of power in 2019 is also an indicator of deep wisdom and political foresight. And this step of the First President of Kazakhstan also became an example for the whole world", the author of the book O. Vidova emphasized.
The presentation was also attended by Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov, Director of International Projects of the Institute of National Strategy of the Russian Federation Yuri Solozobov, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Russian Diplomats, Ambassador, Acting State Advisor of the Russian Federation of the 1st class Andrey Baklanov.
In addition, representatives of state bodies, research institutions, experts, teaching staff, undergraduates and doctoral students of Kazakhstani universities were online with the participants of the event.
