As part of the celebration of the 1150th anniversary of the outstanding scientist of the East, philosopher, mathematician, music theorist Abu Nasr Al-Farabi, the Library of Elbassy announces a Competition for the best essay among students of grades 7-11 in Nur-Sultan. The theme of the works is "The Great Personality of the Country of the Great Steppe."
The purpose of the Contest is to popularize the legacy of Abu Nasr Al-Farabi among the younger generation, improve the creative and social communication skills of schoolchildren, form patriotic feelings for the history of their homeland, the works of outstanding figures of the Great Steppe Country. An essay of no more than two notebook pages should be handwritten in clear, understandable handwriting.
The contest is held from April 27 and May 25, 2020. To participate in the contest, scanned manuscripts must be sent no later than May 25 by e-mail: Cmp_museum@mail.ru marked "For contest". Applications and materials received later than the announced deadline will not be accepted.
The results of the Contest will be announced from 25 to 30 May. The winners will be determined by members of the Contest commission by open voting. The award ceremony will be held in the Library of the first President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy. The best works of the participants will be published in a special collection of essays.
