OPENING OF THE STOCK EXHIBITION “HISTORICAL CHOICE. SYMBOLS OF STATEHOOD»

November 27, 2018 at 17.00 in the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy will host the grand opening of the stock exhibition “Historical Choice. Symbols of statehood”, which is a logical continuation of the scientific and exposition project of the same name.

During the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the first deputy of the Elbasy Library Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov, the secretary of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sabila Mustafina, statesman and public figure Amzebek Zholshybekov will make a welcoming speech.

The exhibition is timed to coincide with three anniversaries: the 25th anniversary of the national currency tenge, the 25th anniversary of the Law on the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the first Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Each anniversary date is a real historical event that marked the establishment of state sovereignty at the dawn of independence. The exhibition will allow to form an objective view of more than a quarter-century history of the development of modern Kazakhstan.

The introduction of the national currency on November 15, 1993 was the starting point for the formation of its own national economy, an important tool for building market relations in the republic. The history of the formation and strengthening of the national currency tenge for 25 years will be shown through archival materials, exhibits from the collections of bonistics and numismatics.

The legal registration of the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan on January 13, 1993 was an integral part of the assertion of its sovereignty.The delimitation and demarcation of the state border is an extremely complex and time-consuming process that requires careful consideration of political, economic, geographical, historical, cultural, national, legal and other aspects, the mandatory search for compromises and mutually acceptable solutions. The complex of archival materials and exhibits from the museum collection of the Library of Elbasy will consistently acquaint you with the history of building good neighborly relations with neighboring states.

One of the first achievements of independent Kazakhstan was the adoption of the Constitution, the first in the history of sovereignty, on January 28, 1993. Its subsequent revision and the appearance of the current Constitution of 1995 actually formalized the legal status of Kazakhstan as an independent state.
