OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION "THE YOUTH OF THE GREAT STEPPE"

On November 20, 2019, at 17.00 with in the framework of decade,dedicated to the celebration of the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the opening ceremony of the exhibition «Youth of the Great steppe» will take place in the building of the Museum of the Library of Elbasy, according to the results of the II stage of the Republican competition among masters of fine and decorative arts of Kazakhstan, held in the framework of the year of youth.

The main objective of the competition, announced on February 12, 2019, was the practical implementation of creative ideas of Elbasy, set out in the article «Seven faces of the great steppe». The creative competition was held in five directions: painting, drawing, sculpture, DAA, art criticism;in two stages, by age categories (18-35 years; older than 36 years). The solemn ceremony of announcing the results of the Ist stage of the competition was held on July 4, on the eve of the capital Day.

During the year, the contestants created their works on topics that reflect the spiritual renewal of Kazakhstan's society, actively addressed to its historical and cultural heritage. The contest works are United by the desire to convey the dynamics of the development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the images of a new generation of citizens through a story work.

The jury of the competition, consisting of venerable representatives of culture of Kazakhstan, considered numerous applications of the contestants. As a result, 35 works by 21 authors were selected.

All the works of the winners will be presented at the exhibition «Youth of the Great steppe». The works of the winners will be awarded with awards and gifts, and the works will be included in the collection of works of fine art of the Libraryof Elbasy and can take a worthy place in its permanent exhibition.

The art competition reflected the vision of Elbasy, who proposed in his program article the need to create “an actual gallery of images of great personalities of the past”, through classical fine art and the creative potential of modern art.
