On May 4 this year at 15.00 in the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy (1a Bokeikhan Street), the opening of the exhibition "Warriors of the Great Steppe" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the creation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the 100th anniversary of the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War: Hiuaz Dospanova, Talgat Begeldinov, Manshuk Mametova will take place. The exhibition is a continuation of the Kazakhstan Way project.
The exposition will feature historical and cultural artefacts reflecting the centuries-old history of the feats of arms of Kazakh soldiers, originating at the Institute of the Great Steppe Batyrs.
Top officials of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and representatives of the Library of Elbasy will attend the opening ceremony.
The exhibition includes 3 sections: "The role and place of batyrs in the history of Kazakh statehood", "Heroes of the Great Patriotic War", and "Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan".
Materials from the Library's collection show the historical heritage of military security, forming a retrospective vision of modern Kazakhstan statehood through the prism of the creation of modern Armed Forces, feats of past and present heroes.
