On May 13 at 17.00 in the museum of the Elbasy Library (A. Bokeikhan str. 1A) the opening of the personal exhibition of the artist Anar Abzhanova "Pearls of Alatau" will take place.
In the year of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the artistic interpretation of Elbasy's programmatic article "Seven Facets of the Great Steppe" resulted in a series of works dedicated to "modest but unusual flowers" - Kazakhstan tulips. The beauty of Greig's tulips, which according to Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev, "the pearl of the Kazakh flora", amazed A. Abzhanova while climbing the mountains of the Zailiyskiy Alatau. The cycle of works depicting Greig's tulips was supplemented with images of Regel's and Kolpakovsky's tulips.
The depiction of flowers is one of the favorite thematic directions in the author's work, along with the creation of magical winter and city landscapes. Especially for the thematic exhibition, the artist wrote more than 30 canvases, in which A. Abzhanova put not only her skill, but also all her love for her native land, admiration for her native nature. Through her work, the artist addresses the wide audience with an appeal to value and protect nature.
The exhibition "Pearls of Alatau" is held within the framework of the "Cultural Code of Independence" project, focused on showing the work of recognized authors, whose works are in the collection of the Elbasy Library and constitute the recognizable code of the country that has made a phenomenal breakthrough in modern history. One of the first personal exhibitions of Anar Abzhanova "A world like a dream" was held on the site of the Elbasy Library as part of the project to support creative youth "On the Wings of Hope".
