On April 2, at 17.00, the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy (1a, A. Bokeikhan Street) will host the opening of the exhibition of Afghan artist Faryadi Mohammad Masood "The Gift of Afghan Art".
The exhibition is organized jointly with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in the framework of the international project of the Library of Elbasy "Dialogue through culture".
The Afghan calligram is an integral part of calligraphy – an original direction of fine art, the greatest development of which is observed in the Muslim culture. Each calligram combines imagery and a meaningful message. This is the main task of the artist – to find and express the connection between visual perception and the deep spiritual thought that is contained in the inscription. The deep symbolism of the works allows you to get into the idea of the author of the calligram.
The exhibition "The Gift of Afghan Art" will feature paintings by Faryadi Mohammad Masood, which he created over the years. The artist has devoted his entire professional and creative life to the art of calligraphy. The author of the exhibition has special skills in various classical lines, innovative and artistic directions. His work has been shown at exhibitions in Afghanistan, Iran, as well as the Emirs of Qatar and Kuwait.
Faryadi Mohammad Masood was born in 1973 in the capital of Afghanistan – the city of Kabul. Since childhood, the master, thanks to his talent, received many awards in his country and abroad, he was awarded diplomas by the Ministry of Information and Culture, presidents and rulers of Arab countries.
The exhibition "Gift of Afghan Art" is the first event in the history of cooperation between the Library of Elbasy and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The organizers are confident that this exhibition will find a response among connoisseurs of fine arts and Muslim culture. The opening of the exhibition will take place on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan, which also gives special meaning to the event.
The exhibition "The Gift of Afghan Art" will run until April 16, 2021.
