On September 21, at 14.00, the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of Nur-Sultan (11 Dostyk Street) will host an international conference "The role of the library in preserving the cultural and historical heritage of society in the modern world".
The event is organized by the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy together with the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The conference will serve as an informational and scientific-cultural platform for scientists and public figures, directors of presidential, national and other major libraries of the world, as well as specialists of the library industry, to discuss the role of libraries in preserving the historical and cultural heritage of society in the modern world, its humanistic mission in fostering patriotism and citizenship. During the conference, the issues of library development in the era of digitalization and new global challenges will be touched upon, experience in the use of effective forms of information services will be exchanged.
The discussion will be attended by Director of the Library of Elbasy B.B. Temirbolat, Director General of the Russian State Library V.V. Duda, General Director of the Library for Foreign Literature named after M.I. Rudomino P.L. Kuzmin, Director of Information Resources of the B.N. Yeltsin Presidential Library E. D. Zhabko, Head of the branch of the Department of External Relations of Turkey Tokay Ebru, directors of libraries of Kazakhstan, the USA, Russia, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, the Islamic Republic of Egypt, Turkey, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Korea, domestic and foreign cultural figures, writers, poets, etc.
