The personal exhibition titled "Steppe melody" by Kamila Zhapalova, member of the Union of Artists, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of Kazakhstan, will open in the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy at 15.00 on June 30, 2022. The exhibition is organized within the project "Cultural Foundation of Independence".
Kamila Zhapalova, who was educated at the A.Kasteev Art School in Shymkent and the V.Mukhina Art School in St. Petersburg, uses a wide range of color palettes in the batik technique. She is the laureate of the international festival "Shabyt" as an author who presented the Kazakh national culture and traditions, a gallery of historical personalities and public figures.
She has already participated in many international exhibitions in the United States, China, Russia, UAE and Germany, introducing foreign viewers to the decorative and applied art of the Great Steppe and its characteristics. Kamila, who presented the batik style in the national manner at the international exhibition ART-EXPO in the USA, was awarded the title of "Founder of the art of the Kazakh national style batik" and a gold medal from members of the New York Realism Fine Art Society.
Kamila Zhapalova's works have their character and style. Her works, full of folklore and lyrical abstraction, describe the Kazakh people's history, life and culture. Her works are inspired by love for the native land. Therefore, there is every reason to call the works of K.Zhapalova the melody of the steppe, which glorified the past, present and future. The exhibition "Music of the Steppe" will be open until August 1, 2022.
