On 4 December, 2018 at 15.00 the Nazarbayev Center will host the opening of the exhibition and the ceremony of awarding the winners of the XIV International competition of children's creativity "Tugan zherim" and the Republican program on support of organizations of additional education "Tugan olkem".

The organizers of the event - the Library of the First President of the Republic and the children's art school – UNESCO club of Astana – have been implementing a joint project "Look from childhood" since 2005.

International competition of children's creativity "Tugan zherim" since 2004 annually takes place before of Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The initiator of this project is the charitable Foundation for support of creative initiatives and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan "Bayta", coordinator – children's art school – club of UNESCO of Astana. Participants of the competition are children from 9 to 18 years old, studying in art schools and art departments of art schools, engaged in art studios of the Schoolchildren's Palaces from all over Kazakhstan.

Since 2005, the Museum (now the Library) of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Elbassy has been a permanent platform for displaying the best works on the results of the competition.

The competition is constantly expanding its geography and is now international. Each year the technique under the terms of the competition is specified separately by the organizing Committee. In 2018, the central theme is patchwork technique. 50 works of the finalists will be presented at the exhibition.

In 2018, a new project of the Elbasy Library was launched - the Republican program to support children's creativity and organizations of additional education "Tugan olkem". It was a response to the policy article of N. Nazarbayev "Ruhani Zhangyru". The main message of the program is to draw attention to the organizations of additional education in all regions of Kazakhstan.

For the first year of implementation of the program in the Museum Library of the Head of State held an exhibition of diploma works of graduates of children's art schools of Semey, Pavlodar, Shymkent and Ekibastuz. In the year of the 20th anniversary of Astana all exhibitions within the program "Tugan olkem" were dedicated to the anniversary of the capital.

According to the results of each exhibition, the jury of the program identified the best works, as well as the best teachers. At four exhibitions were presented about 300 theses in different techniques and genres, of which only 30 will be at the final exhibition in the building of the Nazarbayev Center.
