ANNOUNCEMENT: VIRTUAL EXHIBITION «KAZAKHSTAN SOLDIERS IN THE BATTLE OF STALINGRAD»

In the year of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbassy planned to hold a number of exhibitions and events dedicated to a significant date. For well-known reasons, the exhibitions were transferred to an electronic format available for viewing on the website and social media pages of the Library of Elbassy, the websites of the Representative Office of the Russian Cooperation in Kazakhstan and the news agency Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Especially for the Kazakhstan audience, on the initiative of the Representative Office of the Russian Cooperation in the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation and the Representative Office of the International Information Agency "Russia today" in the Republic of Kazakhstan, a virtual exhibition "Kazakhstan soldiers in the battle of Stalingrad" from the collections of the museum-reserve "Battle of Stalingrad" has been prepared.

The exhibition materials show visitors the history of one of the bloodiest battles, not only the Great Patriotic War, but also the entire Second World War, which lasted from July 17, 1942, to February 2, 1943. The victory in the great battle made it possible to achieve a fundamental breakthrough during the Great Patriotic War. In the battle of Stalingrad, about 500 thousand people died, valiantly fighting for their homeland. Among them were representatives of the entire multi-ethnic people of the Soviet Union, including Kazakhstanis.

The unique archival materials meticulously collected by the employees of the Battle of Stalingrad museum-reserve tell about the heroes of the battle, allow you to get to know them closer, and again be amazed at the scale of the personalities of those who did everything for the Great Victory.

Preservation of historical memory, retransmission of its heritage to the young and future generations of Kazakhstan is one of the main tasks of the Library of Elbassy. The organizers and partners of the exhibition are confident that the exhibition materials will be of interest to a wide range of viewers.
