From August 30 to September 1, 2021, the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy will hold in Geneva (Switzerland) a number of events and meetings with representatives of international organizations, during which documents aimed at developing cooperation in the areas of global and regional security, archival and historical research, as well as diplomacy and international relations will be signed.
August 30 - a meeting of the delegation of the Elbasy Library headed by the Director Bakytzhan Temirbolat with Deputy Director of the Geneva Center for Politics and Security Сristina Orisich. Within the framework of the meeting, it is planned to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation.
On the same day, a meeting is planned with the UN Library and Archives Director in Geneva, Francesco Pisano, with the participation of the UN Director-General in Geneva, Tatyana Valovaya, and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UN in Geneva, Zhanar Aitzhanova. During the meeting, a Letter of Intent will be signed.
On August 31, the international conference "Kazakhstan – UN: Partnership for Peace" will be held, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site and the International Day Against Nuclear Tests.
During the conference, a scientific collection in English "On track to a nuclear-free world: Nursultan Nazarbayev`s initiatives" will be presented.
On September 1, a meeting will be held with the Director of the UNESCO Regional Office in Geneva, Vincent Defourny.
On the same day, a meeting will also be held with the President of the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations, Dr. Colum de Sales Murphy, at which a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed.
