On August 30, our country celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Constitution.
The Constitution is the basic law of the state, which describes its strategy, goals of existence and development, legal norms. It has the highest legal force and is the main document for the formation of the legislative base, regulates the relationship between the state and citizens, the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government.
The current Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted on August 30, 1995, at a national referendum, this day was declared a state holiday - Constitution Day. For sovereign Kazakhstan, this is a holiday of special political and historical significance.
To mark this significant date, the Library of the Elbassy prepared a number of events aimed at a deep understanding of the role of the Constitution in modernizing society and the state, improving the constitutional culture of the population. Events will be held online.
On August 27, a webinar for volunteers of the Library of Elbassy "Ata zań – táýelsіzdіktіń tіregі" will take place.
On August 28 the Library website of the head of state will present a virtual exhibition of one exhibit "A note about judicial reform of Shokan Ualikhanov", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 185th anniversary of Shokan Ualikhanov. The exhibit is a document that is a valuable archival source on the history of the customary law of the Kazakhs, written in the second half of the XIX century by the great Kazakh scientist Shokan Ualikhanov.
On September 1, the Republican online lesson-marathon "Ata Zań - eldіgіmnіń negіzі" will be held for students of the school-gymnasium No. 6 in Nur-Sultan and Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.
